De recente aanval van Israël op de Palestijnse gebieden en het Palestijnse volk is een daad van terreur waarbij burgerslachtoffers vallen en civiele infrastructuur wordt vernietigd. Noch het Palestijnse, noch het Israëlische volk winnen iets bij het op de spits drijven van dit conflict. De enige groep die iets bij het conflict wint, is de Israëlische heersende klasse die via terreur het Palestijnse verzet de grond wil inboren en via een voortdurende militarisering van de politiek de aandacht van het Israëlische volk afleidt van de toenemende sociale en economische problemen in het land.

Wie verontwaardigd is over deze betreurbare gang van zaken hoeft echter niet bij de pakken te blijven neerzitten, maar kan op eenvoudige wijze, via een simpele mail aan het Israëlische ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, de invasie van Gaza veroordelen. Elke mail betekent een kleine steunbetuiging voor het Palestijnse volk.

Nadat ze de verklaring van In Defence of Marxism hadden vertaald naar het Arabisch, lanceerden de kameraden van www.marxy.com een oproep om de invasie te veroordelen. Wij vragen onze lezers om deze protestbrief te versturen naar alle onderstaande adressen.

Your excuse is to free the captured Israeli soldier, but we all know that this is merely disguising your real aim which is to sow terror among the Palestinian people, to bring them to their knees and at the same time to divert the attention of the Israeli working class away from the real issues (exploitation, unemployment...) and highlight the national conflict.
